Join us for an exciting cooking class in West Harrow where you will learn the art of traditional Indian cookery. We are a mother and son team at Japes' Kitchen who love showing off traditional Indian Gujarati food. In this cooking class, we're taking it up a level! Who doesn't like golden fried triangles of joy, samosas!We will start with a short introduction to Gujarat and its history through cooking, while brewing a traditional masala chai together and sipping along through the lesson!The lesson will be led by Mum - Varsha and Son - Janak over 90 minutes and end with a feast of what you've cooked!


What will we cook?

  • Masala Chai

  • Lamb Keema Samosas

  • Mixed Vegetable Samosas

  • Homemade Samosa Pastry

  • Green Mint Coriander Chutney

  • Amli (Tamarind) Chutney

  • Chaat


We will end the session with our completed Samosas & Chaat and will be open to any questions you may have on your new Gujarati cooking journey!
